Human Image Design Usage and Rights Policy

Usage & Rights

Human Image Design creates bespoke human imagery designed specifically for each client and project.

Unlike stock photography, where imagery is licensed with restrictions, the work created through Human Image Design is intended to give clients flexibility and long-term ownership.

The guidance below explains how imagery created through Human Image Design can be used.

Do clients own the imagery created for them?

Yes.

Imagery created through Human Image Design for a client becomes the client’s property once the project has been completed and paid for.

Clients may use the imagery across all media without restrictions on duration, geography, platform, or format.

This includes use across websites, advertising, publications, presentations, digital platforms, and motion content.

Can the imagery be used commercially?

Yes.

Imagery created through Human Image Design may be used for commercial, editorial, educational, marketing, and communication purposes.

Because the people represented are designed characters rather than photographs of real individuals, the imagery does not require traditional model releases.

Can the imagery be modified or adapted?

Yes.

Clients are free to crop, resize, or incorporate the imagery into layouts, campaigns, motion graphics, or other creative outputs.

The imagery is designed to integrate easily into real-world communication and production environments.

Can Human Image Design show the work publicly?

Yes.

Human Image Design may display created imagery for portfolio, promotional, educational, or studio communication purposes.

If a project requires confidentiality or delayed publication, this can be arranged by agreement.

Are the people in the images real?

No.

Humans created through Human Image Design are designed characters produced through AI-assisted image generation, guided by art direction and refined through production techniques.

They are not photographs of real individuals.

This allows human imagery to be created with flexibility while still achieving a realistic photographic appearance.

Who is responsible for how the imagery is used?

Clients are responsible for ensuring their use of imagery complies with relevant laws, regulations, and advertising standards in the regions where the imagery is used.

Human Image Design provides imagery as a creative service and does not control how imagery is used after delivery.
