The Brief

Instant Cosmetics is an aesthetics brand built around the idea that strong communication does not need to be complicated. Their positioning — “Beautifully Simple” — reflects a belief that clear messaging and thoughtful design create stronger connections with customers.

The brief was to develop a campaign promoting a new sign-up offer across sales and marketing materials. The work needed to support trade advertising as well as digital platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn, while remaining consistent with the brand’s established marketing guidelines.

The campaign required imagery that felt calm, contemporary, and aligned with the visual language of the Instant Cosmetics brand.

The Challenge

The available budget did not allow for commissioned photography, and suitable stock imagery proved difficult to find.

Existing stock libraries rarely matched the restrained aesthetic used across the Instant Cosmetics brand. Many images felt overly staged or visually busy, which conflicted with the simplicity that defined the brand’s communication.

Without the right imagery, the campaign risked feeling inconsistent with the brand identity that had already been established.

A new approach was needed to create visuals that would feel authentic to the brand while remaining efficient to produce.

The Approach

Using Human Image Design, a set of campaign visuals was designed specifically for the Instant Cosmetics brief.

Each image was created with a focus on calm composition, natural expression, and neutral tones that would sit comfortably within the brand’s design system. Rather than searching for photography that approximated the desired look, the imagery was intentionally designed to reflect the brand’s visual philosophy.

This approach allowed the campaign visuals to feel deliberate and understated — reinforcing the message of clarity and simplicity that sits at the centre of the Instant Cosmetics brand.

Alongside the still imagery, short-form motion content was also created to support social media communication.

The Outcome

The campaign delivered a small set of hero images alongside short-form video assets used across trade advertising, digital marketing, and social platforms.

By designing imagery specifically for the campaign, the visuals remained consistent with the “Beautifully Simple” positioning while avoiding the compromises often associated with generic stock photography.

The result was a campaign that felt visually aligned with the brand while remaining efficient to produce — demonstrating how Human Image Design can support clear, focused brand communication even within modest production budgets.

For Instant Cosmetics, the imagery was not simply sourced — it was designed to communicate the brand with clarity and restraint.
